About Me
Welcome to Heart to Heart Therapy, where I, Kareen Chung, an Integrative Psychotherapist, extend a warm greeting. I’ve been a psychotherapist for 10 years and integrative counsellor for 16 years, and rooted in the belief that healing commences in a personalised and empathetic space, I founded this practice driven by a profound desire to create an inclusive haven for individuals from diverse walks of life.
My goal as an Integrative Psychotherapist is to create a safe and welcoming space for individuals of all backgrounds to seek healing and support. I want to provide you with a non-judgmental and confidential environment where you can discuss whatever concerns you. My aim is to build a therapeutic relationship based on acceptance, value, and safety, fostering trust and open communication.
Beyond addressing emotional issues, my approach extends to fostering mental well-being. With a global reach, I’ve had the privilege of offering therapeutic support to individuals in the UK, Caribbean, and the USA. Heart to Heart Therapy is not just a space for sessions; it’s a community committed to well-being. I envision international retreats, weekends where individuals can immerse themselves in a holistic mental health experience.
Guided by the conviction that individuals possess the power to make positive changes in their lives, I am dedicated to helping clients take responsibility for their choices, instilling self-worth, and encouraging personal growth.
At Heart to Heart Therapy, I offer a philosophy centred on tailoring therapeutic approaches to meet each client's distinctive needs. Whether virtually or in person, my commitment remains unwavering - providing a confidential, non-judgmental space for individuals to freely explore their inner world, find acceptance, and rebuild self-confidence.

Backgroud
My journey into psychotherapy was ignited by personal struggles with mental health, spurring a passion to pay forward the transformative power of therapy. Influenced by the values instilled by my parents, Margurite and Morris Chung, I incorporate compassion and kindness into the therapeutic process.
My approach to therapy is rooted in the values instilled in me by my parents, Margurite and Morris Chung. Their influence on my life has been immeasurable, and I am forever grateful for the many things they did right. At the core of my philosophy is the belief that compassion and kindness are integral to the therapeutic process.
My parents always communicated with respect, offering gentle yet firm guidance. Their approach shaped me into a well-rounded individual who places a high value on empathy and understanding. In my therapy sessions, you can expect the same level of compassion and respect as we work through your challenges together.
One of the significant things my parents did right was allowing me the freedom to choose my own life path, including my career.
This principle of freedom of choice is something I extend to my clients. I firmly believe that you should be empowered to explore your issues, rebuild self-confidence, and take responsibility for your choices.

It’s a wonderful opportunity for you to share your thoughts, and for me to offer my recommendations. This meeting is a chance to ask any questions you may have and explore the possibility of embarking on this journey together. Most of my clients have found this initial meeting incredibly valuable.
